Forward Deployed Engineer

Own the technical relationship with our enterprise clients from kickoff to production. You're the one in the room with the client, and the one shipping the code that makes it work.

What you'll do

We're hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to own 100% of the technical delivery for our enterprise accounts. At yavendió!, enterprise clients don't get a CS team and a dev team — they get you. You understand their business, design the solution, ship the integrations, and show up to the meeting to explain what you built and why. Your first account is an established tier-1 enterprise client in Peru with an AI agent already running in production. From there, you'll expand to other corp accounts across LatAm. This role is for someone who gets energy from being in front of clients, not just in front of a terminal — and who can do both well.

  • Own the full technical lifecycle of enterprise accounts: implementation, iteration, and support
  • Implement and configure conversational AI agents on WhatsApp Business, including prompt engineering, tool configuration, and guardrail tuning
  • Build and maintain integrations between yavendió!'s platform and client systems (REST APIs, webhooks, internal platforms)
  • Lead technical meetings with client stakeholders — translate business requirements into technical decisions and vice versa
  • Diagnose and resolve production incidents on active accounts, including model regressions, integration failures, and edge-case behavior
  • Coordinate with product and engineering to escalate client needs into roadmap
  • Document architectures, configurations, and implementation playbooks that scale across accounts

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience on production systems
  • Comfortable working in Python and TypeScript across backend services and integrations
  • Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and async backend patterns
  • Has worked directly with clients or stakeholders — comfortable in formal meetings, not just Slack threads
  • Can hold a technical position under pressure: with a client pushing for direct API access, you know how to say no and offer something better
  • Use AI coding tools heavily as part of your daily workflow
  • Advanced English and Spanish — you'll operate in both
